I made this cross using two
peloric parents. 'Lily Munster' has a mutation that causes a tiny
bit of the lip's yellow callus to show up in the center of the otherwise
open white petals. 'Olympia's Peloric' has broad bands of the lips
purple pigment splashed across the petals. Both of these mutations
are consistent over many flowering seasons and inflorescences which
leads me to believe these mutations are genetic in origin rather than
cultural. I do not know if these traits will combine to produce
some peloric offspring, but I hope they will. Some of the kids
will probably be normal, light pink
multiflorals. |
