You are reading the "Cattleya & Related Hybrids" category of my online catalog. Click on an underlined link to see a larger picture, additional pictures, or to read more information if it is available. Please remember that offspring from hybrid matings will be unique and sometimes very different from each other and the individual pictures used to represent the cross. Species grown from seed will show more uniformity (they are species after all) but each plant will still be unique.

DPE0201 C. Elephant Drops

web0201aThe parents of this hybrid are (Chocolate Drop x Pink Elephants). Offspring should produce pink to red clusters of flowers. Some will be heavily spotted in darker pinks and reds. Others may be solid. Many flowers per stem are likely on mature plants.

DPE0212 Lc. Golden Girl ‘Miami’ AM/AOS

0212.jpgThe parents of this cultivar are (Lc. Orange Ann x C. aurantiaca) The cultivar ‘Miami’ is extremely vigorous and can form a big clump of a plant very easily. Blooms in the spring for me if allowed to follow the natural day/night cycles in my area.
5″ Pot………….$30.00

DPE1044 Sc. Pitter Patter (‘Pebbles’ x self)

0045This is a selfing of the plant pictured. I expect pink flowers with red spots on medium sized bifoliate plants. However, this is a selfing of a somewhat complicated hybrid and the grandparent generation (Sc. Precious Stones ‘Small Success’ x C. amethystoglossa ‘Ironclad’) provides variation in plant size and flower color, so the genes are there for some surprises. Surprises which I will, undoubtedly, get blamed for…. “It has a bright red flower that doesn’t look anything like the picture! You must have mix up the tags”
4″ pot………….$25.00

DPE1365 C. Orchidom Brabrant

1365The parents are (C. Pink Brabant x C. Brabantiae). These came to me from Roger Cole’s breeding program at Orchids Dominicana, S.A. via Ken at Orchid Enterprise many years ago as a community pot. It is a spotted hybrid. Expect pinks to creams with a lot of spots. Grows compact and matures at about 12″ tall. The plant pictured is the cultivar ‘Leesburg’ which is a sibling of the seed grown plants being offered.
6″ pot………….$40.00

DPE1683 Lc. Angel Heart ‘Hihimanu’ HCC/AOS

DPE1683 Lc. Angel Heart 'Hihimanu' HCC/AOS The parents of this awarded cultivar are (Puppy Love x C. Penny Kuroda). Easy blooming plant with tall spikes of very fragant flowers.

DPE2557 Bc. Chesty Puller ‘Tucan’

DPE2557 Bc. Chesty Puller 'Tucan'This flower is so big, about 5.5 inches wide. A nice soft pink color. Plants were in bloom in early October this year, 2009.

DPE2600 Thw. (Rlc. Christine Fleshman x Rlc. Ronald Hausermann x Gsl. Alcidor)

DPE2600 Thw. (Rlc. Christine Fleshman x Rlc. Ronald Hausermann x Gsl. Alcidor)Don’t let the name confuse you. This is a big flurfy (Yes, that’s right, “FLUR-FEE”) cattleya. Big plants with multiple growths that have two to four flowers per stem held high above the leaves. Each flower is about 4.5 inches wide. I have several of these plants and they bloom like weeds in the fall for me. Fragrant on a sunny day. One plant had 8 flowers on it in October 2009.
8″ bulb pan…………$50.00

I ship mail order to the 48 contiguous states only. I do not export plants outside the US and I do not ship to Hawaii, Alaska or Puerto Rico. I get website visitors from all over the world. The clustermap, begun July 5th 2009, records one visit per day per ip address.
